Primal Alexander™ Group Webinar for all Teachers, students & general public  8/10/20 1 – 2.30pm (UK)

£45.00

Introducing Primal Alexander™ and an approach to the Alexander Technique which asks you to explore, be curious and discover what is actually happening.I’ve been collaborating over the past six months with a group of Alexander teachers who are all exploring a “hands-free” method of teaching the AT called Primal Alexander. The originator of this method, Mio Morales, has been teaching exclusively online for many years — long before this global pandemic made remote learning necessary. This group webinar will explore these discoveries and how they can facilitate fundamental change in a simple yet direct way while ‘sticking to principle’ as Marjory Barlow (FM Alexander’s niece) used to say.

I’ve been collaborating over the past six months with a group of Alexander teachers who are all exploring a “hands-free” method of teaching the AT called Primal Alexander. The originator of this method, Mio Morales, has been teaching exclusively online for many years — long before this global pandemic made remote learning necessary.

It is a revolutionary yet fundamental process of experimentation and exploration and paying attention RIGHT NOW which is what FM Alexander himself did when he was in trouble with his voice and wanted to solve his problem. This enables us to discover what we’re actually doing and what is actually happening when we go into movement or any other activity.  It empowers us to activate our constructive thinking and inhibition in such a way that ‘Ease’ is facilitated.

You will work with simple studies in movement which teach you to pay attention in the moment – ‘etudes’ or ‘movement studies’.   The word ‘etude’ means ‘movement’ in music  but also ‘study in movement ‘ .  You will learn new skills that will enhance your teaching online and in person.

An opportunity to be surprised and curious.
